Jackson Wang (b. 1994)

Jackson Wang went from being in GOT7, one of the biggest K-pop groups of the last decade, to building a genuinely successful solo international career, which in tech terms is basically like leaving a successful startup to found your own company and actually having it work, a move that statistically should not go this well as often as it apparently does for him. My own startup failed after eighteen months and I'm still paying off a personal loan from it, so I recognize real bravery when someone bets on themselves after already having a stable, successful thing going. Wang built an audience that follows him specifically, not just as a former group member trading on old fame, across language and market barriers that trip up plenty of artists trying to go solo internationally. That kind of crossover takes both talent and genuinely smart execution, the same combination you need to actually make a startup work instead of just having a good idea and a nice pitch deck. He clearly figured out both halves of that equation.
