Sebastian Vettel is a four-time Formula One World Champion, one of the most successful drivers the sport has ever seen, and I'll admit there's something in racing at that level — split-second decisions at insane speed, thousands of miles logged under real pressure — that I recognize a little from the road myself, even if my rig tops out considerably slower than an F1 car ever will. Four championships isn't luck stacking up once, that's sustained excellence against a field of the best drivers in the world trying to take the title away from him every single season. I've got two million accident-free miles under my belt and I know how much focus it takes just to stay clean on an interstate for that long, let alone win at the literal highest speed tier of the sport, over and over, for years. Vettel clearly had both the talent and the discipline to keep it up long after one championship might've been enough for most people to call it a career.
