Owen Wilson (b. 1968)

Owen Wilson made a whole career out of looking like he wasn't trying very hard, which, coming from a coach, I recognize immediately as one of the harder disguises to actually pull off. That loose, easygoing comic delivery in things like Wedding Crashers and The Royal Tenenbaums reads effortless on screen, but effortless-looking is almost always the most rehearsed thing in the room, whether we're talking about a jump shot or a punchline. I tell my kids constantly: the players who look most relaxed under pressure are usually the ones who've drilled the fundamentals so many times the nerves don't show anymore. I'd bet comedic timing works the same way. Wilson found a specific lane — warm, unbothered, a little goofy — and instead of fighting it, he built an entire successful career squarely inside it. There's a lesson in there about knowing your own game and playing to it instead of trying to be somebody else's idea of a leading man. Sometimes the smartest move on the floor is just being really, consistently good at being yourself.
