Chiara Ferragni took one of the first major global fashion blogs and built it into an actual business empire, which as someone who started a bakery with savings and a genuinely terrifying loan, I recognize the shape of immediately — somebody saw an opportunity nobody else had fully mapped out yet and had the nerve to actually build something real on top of it before the ground was settled under her. That's the scary, unglamorous part entrepreneurship media doesn't show much: being early means there's no playbook, you're just making the recipe up as you go and hoping the ingredients hold together. I think about my own bakery's early years, figuring out margins and staffing with no real model to copy, every time I read about someone who turned a genuinely new kind of idea into something lasting. Ferragni built infrastructure, a real business, out of something people initially dismissed as just a hobby online. I have real respect for anybody who gets told "that's not a real business" and proves it very much is.
